Support Us

The GVS requires the generous support of many different stakeholders. Click below to see how you can lend a hand.

‘We cannot possibly do without the WRVS'- said Lady Martin in June 1975 as she opened a garden fête  organised by the WRVS. The fête was held to raise funds for a new headquarters and day centre for older people. These goals were achieved with the opening of the original Jubilee Day Centre and later the purpose built facility in Grandes Maisons Road. The GVS must continue to raise considerable funds each year to underwrite the work that it does. There is a fundraising committee made up of volunteers who organise a number of events during the year. The diversity of these events ensures that there is sure to be something that will appeal.

The fundraising committee is always looking for new fundraising ideas and initiatives so if you can help with ideas, or would like to join the team or even volunteer to help at an individual event please do not hesitate to contact GVS Headquarters we would love to hear from you.

In addition to donations and the 100 Club Lottery, there are many other ways that the GVS raises funds. If you would like to speak to us about donations or fundraising, please get in touch.
